Jody Henderson
Office Manager, Real Estate Head Paralegal & Superwoman

Jody was born and raised in Wilmington, and started with our firm in 1998.  She is firm administrator, real estate closing supervisor, and paralegal supervisor. We hear over and over again from clients, realtors and lenders that Jody is the best they’ve ever worked with.  We agree – as does North Carolina Lawyers Weekly Magazine, which recognized Jody’s outstanding professional accomplishments in 2017, when she was one of only two paralegals in the State of North Carolina to receive this honor.  Jody has been the hub of our firm’s wheel for two decades, and as phenomenal as she is professionally, she is equally phenomenal as a person.

Kimberly Marks
Paralegal/ Post-Closing Coordinator

Kimberly has been a paralegal and legal assistant with our firm since 2010, starting her career in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio, before moving to Wilmington and joining our firm.  She has primary responsibility for funding of loans, preparing documents for recording, and getting the checks out for all real estate transactions.  There is no one more efficient than Kimberly when it comes to getting your closing recorded as quickly as she possibly can. She also prepares drafts of simple wills, durable and healthcare powers of attorney, and advance care directives. Kimberly is patient, is an excellent communicator, and super-organized. Her positive attitude brightens the office every day!

Kari Hassett
Paralegal

Kari handles title examinations, pre-closing file coordination, sellers’ document preparation, and realtor, lender and client communications. Kari helps ensure that closings are seamless and on time for our clients. She always steps up to do whatever needs to be done, and she does it all very, very well. She is a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is considering licensure in North Carolina in the future. Her knowledge, efficiency, and great personality make her a true asset to our firm!
